Boy, 16, arrested on suspicion of attempted murder in connection with Radford shooting

Police were called to Argyle Street, Radford, where they found a man had been shot.

A 16-year-old boy has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder in connection with a shooting in Radford last month.

A 34-year-old man was taken to hospital after being shot in Argyle Street at around 2pm on Sunday, June 17. He has since been discharged.

Notts Police say they arrested the boy this morning (July 26) on suspicion of attempted murder and possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life.

Detective Inspector Chanelle Whitney, who is leading the investigation, said: “The use of firearms will not be tolerated in Nottinghamshire and we are working hard, in partnership with the communities we serve, to take them off our streets.

“Our officers have been working tirelessly on this case and enquiries are ongoing. We would still like to hear from anyone who witnessed the incident or has any information.”
