Castle Rock Brewery will run the new bar at Royal Concert Hall and Theatre Royal when construction is completed.
CGC Event Caterers will take up with contract with Castle Rock Brewery as part of a joint venture.
The refurbished bar area in the stalls level of Theatre Royal will be rebranded as ‘YARN’.
Robert Sanderson, Managing Director of the Theatre Royal & Royal Concert Hall, said: “The contract has been awarded to CGC Event Caterers and Castle Rock, Nottingham’s foremost brewery and pub chain.
“They will be bringing ‘real ale’ to the Theatre Royal and Royal Concert Hall for the very first time.
“We are creating a major new day-time destination for the city, open from early morning to late at night, for shoppers, passers-by, tourists, students, and (especially) for local and regional businesses.”
Colin Wilde, Managing Director of Castle Rock, is also looking forward to the re-opening.
He said: “Forming a partnership with a business of the pedigree and calibre of CGC Event Caterers and to service the exciting new provision at the historic Theatre Royal all in our home city of Nottingham are both amazing opportunities for Castle Rock Brewery.
Tom Lynch, Director of Business Development of CGC Event Caterers, said: “Our partnership with Castle Rock Brewery combines our international expertise in venues and events with their unrivalled knowledge and passion for craft beer, great pubs and Nottinghamshire hospitality.
“Together we have created an exciting new cafe bar concept, Yarn – a destination food and drink experience for theatre-goers and locals alike, right in the heart of the city.
“Our plans involve the introduction of new restaurant menus and a major enhancement of the food and drink proposition across the site.
“We will also launch new facilities and packages for corporate hospitality and conferencing as part of a stunning redevelopment of the onsite facilities.”
