A Nottingham city centre road cordon has been lifted after a 20-year-old woman was hit by a car in the early hours of the morning and taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries where she remains.
Notts Police were called to the incident at 1.50am this morning (Thursday June 7) following the collision on Wollaton Street at its junction with Talbot Street.
A 20-year-old man, the driver of the car, was arrested following the incident.
Police believe the occupants of a white mid-sized family hatchback that was travelling in the same direction as the car involved in the collision may have seen what happened and could have vital information that could help the investigation.
Anyone who witnessed the collision is asked to call Nottinghamshire Police on 101 quoting incident number 57 of June 7.
