Cyclist, 14, dies after collision with bus in Beeston

A 14-year-old cyclist has died following a crash in Beeston on Saturday night.

The girl, who has not been named, was riding a bike which collided with a bus on Queen’s Road West, close to the junction with Trevor Road.

Emergency services were called to the scene at around 7.20pm (December 9), and the teenager was taken to the Queen’s Medical Centre.

Notts Police later confirmed she died at the hospital. No arrests have been made, but officers are appealing for witnesses.

A force spokesman said: “Anyone who might have seen anything, or who has any information that could help, is asked to call Nottinghamshire Police on 101, quoting incident number 722 of 9 December 2017.”
