Dad of man who took his own life sets up men’s support group in his memory

The father and a lifelong friend of a man who took his own life in 2021 have been speaking about the men’s mental health group set up in his memory.

Sam Fisher from Worksop, Nottinghamshire, had moved out to Australia, and tragically died aged just 29 because, his dad says, of ongoing mental health and relationship problems.

At Sam’s funeral, his father Stewart and closest friend Richard came up with the idea of setting up a men’s talking group in his memory.
