During his visit to Notts, as well as speaking at a rally in Mansfield, Jeremy Corbyn dropped into a Nottingham students’ barbecue to enjoy a burger.
Students from Broxtowe Young Labour campaign group held a barbecue in Kimberley on Saturday (September 9) and were told to expect a special guest.
And to their surprise, leader of the Labour party Jeremy Corbyn arrived to talk to guests about DH Lawrence and his favourite barbecue food before giving a speech.
Corbyn then visited Mansfield where he addressed a rally outlining an intention to win back the seat after Conservative MP Ben Bradley won it for his party for the first time in history.
The rally was held on Carr Bank Park and was attended by an estimated 2,000 people according to reports.
It comes as part of a tour of the country which has taken in 50 constituencies.
Earlier in the day, Corbyn had visited Broxtowe and Erewash, both of which are held by Conservative MPs.
