Friends and relatives have paid tribute to two men killed in a crash on the A52 Derby Road in Nottingham last month.

Gurdip Singh Kareer, known as Johnnie, and Kyle O’Connor died following the incident on Friday, November 25.

It happened at around 7pm and both men were pronounced dead at the scene.

Johnnie, 41, of Parkside Gardens, Wollaton, leaves behind his wife and three children.

In a statement issued through Notts Police, his family said: “He was one in infinity. He was a loving, caring family man that always put his wife and three children Kaiden, nine, Argent, four and Tiana, 11 months, first before anything else.

“Everything he did was for his family. He was a loving brother, a caring son and will be very sadly missed forever – but never forgotten.

“He died young and had his whole life ahead of him but he lived for the moment, which is always the way he will be remembered.”

Kyle O’Connor, 22, of Wollaton Vale, Nottingham was described by family as a “loving and adventurous” man by his family.

His relatives said: “He was a loved brother, son, grandson, nephew, and best friend.

“Kyle loved everything and everyone around him, behind his fearlessness, strength, sense of fun and adventure, which we will hold in our hearts forever.

“As a family we would like to thank everyone who has shown love and support for both Kyle and Johnnie. We love you both.”

Two men were arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving in connection to the crash, and have been released on police bail.

Police are appealing to anyone who may have seen anything or have any information that could help to contact the police on 101, quoting incident 797 of November 25.

Officers would also like to speak to anyone with a dash cam who was travelling in the area at the time.
