Female cyclist taken to hospital after crash near Brian Clough statue

Police have taped off King Street.
A woman has been taken to hospital after a crash near the Brian Clough statue in Nottingham city centre.
Notts Police said the woman was riding a bike on King Street around 2.30pm on Thursday (June 22) when she collided with a metallic blue Vauxhall near the back of the statue.
She was taken to the Queen’s Medical Centre by ambulance, with injuries not thought to be life-threatening.

Police have closed King Street and taped off the scene of the collision. A Notts Police spokesman said it was not yet clear when the road might re-open.
No arrests have been made and anyone who saw what happened is asked to contact Notts Police on 101.
