Firefighters say a huge fire in Bilsthorpe has finally been put out after burning for more than 10 hours.
Six fire engines were called to the scene of the fire in Kirklington Road at around 2.30am this morning.
Most of the building was engulfed in flames but by late morning the blaze was under control and three crews stayed on site pouring water onto the smoking debris.
Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service said the incident was declared over just before 3pm.
People living nearby were advised to keep their doors and windows closed as a precaution.
It’s thought the disused building may contain asbestos, which can cause toxic fumes when burnt.
