Firefighters carry out rescue in Forest Fields house fire

Firefighters were called to the terraced house on Cedar Road in the early hours of Tuesday.

One person is in hospital after being rescued by firefighters from a blaze in Forest Fields.

The fire started on the first floor of the terraced house on Cedar Road at 3.38am on Tuesday morning (November 21).

Three fire engines were called to the incident, which left the home badly damaged.

Later on Tuesday morning, black scorching could be seen around the upstairs windows of the house, which was cordoned off by fire investigators.

Neighbouring homes were also evacuated and the person was taken to hospital buy ambulance.

Notts Fire and Rescue Service say the cause is not yet clear.
