Five people have been taken to hospital, including a 44-year-old woman being treated for life threatening injuries, after a crash on the A1.
The incident happened at 1am on Sunday (October 8) morning, when Notts Police were called to a report of a serious collision between two cars on the A1 northbound just south of Blyth services.
Detectives from the East Midlands Serious Collision Investigation Unit were at the scene to try to establish the circumstances surrounding the collision.
The road was closed following the incident, but has since reopened.
Anyone who witnessed the collision or who may have dashcam footage of what happened, is asked to call Notts Police on 101 quoting incident number 65 of October 8.
