Nottingham Forest has confirmed the signing of Northern Ireland international Jamie Ward on a free transfer, after signing former Bolton defender Matt Mills.
Both players agreed terms with the Reds a few weeks ago, but the club was unable to announce any deal officially until Ward and Mill’s contracts expired at Derby County and Bolton Wanderers respectively.
Jamie Ward, 29, could follow in the footsteps of Robert Earnshaw, Lee Camp and Marcus Tudgay, who all had successful City Ground careers despite playing for the Rams in the past.
Forest has also confirmed the exit of four players including Greg Halford, who took to twitter to show his appreciation for the club.
so last day of me being a #Forest player. would like to say its been a privilege playing for the club and would like to thank everyone…..

Danny Collins, Dan Harding and Louis Laing are the other departures from the City Ground.
Laing has already agreed a deal to join Scottish side Motherwell, who he spent some time on loan to last season.
Forest fans could see the two new signings aid them in their bid for promotion in their 2015/2016 SkyBet Championship campaign.
