Girl, 17, arrested after serious assault on woman outside Victoria Centre

A 17-year-old girl has been arrested on suspicion of assault occasioning grievous bodily harm in connection with a report of a woman being assaulted in Nottingham.

Nottinghamshire Police received a report an 18-year-old woman was punched and kicked several times outside the Victoria Centre on Upper Parliament Street on Tuesday February before getting on a bus.

The victim was taken to the QMC where she was put into an induced coma – she is now out of the coma but remains in intensive care.

A 17-year-old girl was arrested this morning (Friday March 2) in relation to the incident and remains in police custody.
