A nine-year-old girl has been taken to hospital after being hit by a car at a busy road junction in Arnold.
Notts Police say the accident happened at the junction of Oxclose Lane and Mansfield Road just before 9am.
Officers have closed off the junction to examine the scene, which is causing delays for motorists and bus services in the area.
A Notts Police spokesman said the girl’s exact condition is not yet known, but she has been taken to the Queen’s Medical Centre by ambulance.
Nottingham City Transport says passengers can expect severe delays, with the 53, 58, 79, 79A, 87, and L11 services put back by around 25 minutes.
