Gloworm family festival 2024 ready for ‘incredible opportunity’ after moving to Holme Pierrepont Country Park

Gloworm family festival is moving to Holme Pierrepont Country Park for 2024 after five years at Thoresby in North Nottinghamshire.
Organisers of family festival Gloworm say its move to Holme Pierrepont Country Park near Nottingham for 2024 is an ‘incredible opportunity’ which allows it to expand and offer better transport links.
The event is getting ready to welcome thousands of people to the park, close to West Bridgford, across three days from Friday, August 16 to Sunday, August 18.
Its relocation for 2024 was announced last year, after five years at Thoresby Park, in North Nottinghamshire.
Organisers say while Thoresby had helped the event become a success, the move to Holme Pierrepont, in Rushcliffe and close to the city, will help it grow further.
Richard Walpole, the Festival Director, said he was ‘delighted’ with the new location.
He said: “This move provides us with an incredible opportunity to elevate the festival experience to new heights, offering families an even more enchanting and unforgettable time.”
The weekend will be filled with music, activities, and entertainment, and aims to capture the hearts of families from across the country.
Holme Pierrpont Country Park has sprawling green fields and tranquil lakes, creating a new backdrop for the festival’s atmosphere.
The space is also larger, allowing organisers to expand the event’s offerings and accommodate a larger number of families.
The 2024 edition of Gloworm Festival also promises a dynamic line-up of top-tier performers, interactive workshops, thrilling rides, and engaging activities for children of all ages.

Returning festival zones like Playmobil Zone, Tiny Tots, Dino-Zone, The Great Outdoors, and The Hive are back, along with a new Adventure Zone for 2024. This new addition includes activities like Mini Golf, Sky Trail, Mini Land Rovers, Wipeout, and others.
The festival also has a line-up of top performers, featuring nostalgic appearances from N-Trance, Pat Sharp, Lolly, Spice Girls Tribute, Oasis Tribute, and more.
CBeebies stars like Andy Day, Maddie Moate and Nigel Clarke, and plenty of other stage shows and performances such as Bhangra dancing by Sohan Kailey, Live science shows from Sublime Science and Playmobil Rave also feature.
The new location is more accessible, with ample parking and public transportation options, making it easier for families to attend the festival from various parts of the UK.
Tickets start at free for under-twos, and including fees go to £38.50 for child day tickets and £49.50 for adults, and £165 for family tickets of two adults and two children. There are also weekend tickets with and without camping available at a range of prices. Tickets and more information available here.
