Voters across Nottinghamshire have the chance to set the course of Britain’s political future when they go to the polls in Thursday’s General Election.
Several of Nottinghamshire’s 11 constituency areas are considered close calls which are likely to prove critical in the race to control the Government.
On May 4 people who are registered to vote can do so at polling stations across their areas from 7am to 10pm. Photographic ID will need to be provided by anyone wanting to vote.
Notts TV will then be covering the results across Nottinghamshire on nottstv.com, social media and on TV.
From Bassetlaw to Rushcliffe, our team of journalists are working at election counts throughout the night, interviewing candidates, getting local reaction, and checking and reporting the results as they happen.
Our live blog on the website will start at 10pm on Thursday and continue through the night until the last results and reaction on Friday morning.
Updates will also be posted on our Twitter, Facebook and Instagram profiles, and our team of Local Democracy Reporters will be following and posting about what happens.
Video: An election special of Notts Today will broadcast on Notts TV on Friday at 5.30pm.
We’ll be be using the hashtags #GeneralElection24.
All the results will also be covered on Notts TV in a special election edition of our news and chat show Notts Today from 5.30pm – 6.30pm on Friday evening (July 5) .
