Stunning pictures showing the UK’s landscape in a different light are appearing at a Nottinghamshire photographic exhibition.

Connected opens at the Patchings Art Centre in Calverton on Saturday, displaying images from towns, cities and the British countryside.

It is free to enter and is open 10am-5pm at the Oxton Road Centre’s Pavilion Gallery.

Organiser and curator Rob Knight said: “Connected aims to bring this love of and passion for image making to everyone through our exhibition which will feature photographs brought to life in their printed form alongside a multimedia experience to encapsulate the viewer in the photographic vision.”

The exhibition includes a projected audio visual display of other pictures by local and national photographers alongside the traditional exhibits.

An opening event at 1pm on Saturday features guest speakers and photographers Guy Aubertin and Vanda Ralevska.

It is the ninth annual exhibition of photography hosted by the Nottingham Flickr Group, and this year the event will raise money for the John van Geest Cancer Research Centre in Nottingham through an auction on Saturday.
