IN PICTURES: Hucknall church holds Scarecrow Festival

St John’s Church in Hucknall begins its harvest celebrations with a Scarecrow Festival.

The church is home to around 20 scarecrows, including versions of Mickey Mouse, a Lego man, Minions and even a vicar.

The straw figures are all made at local schools, businesses and community groups. The winners are being announced at the church’s Harvest Fair this weekend.

Along with cartoon characters, there is also an England rugby player and even a scarecrow Queen on her throne.

The best designs will be chosen in two categories – the best children’s entry and best adult entry, with the winners taking home £50 cash prize.

See below for some of the scarecrows on display at the church.
