Grammy award-winner and BRIT nominee Jess Glynne has been announced as the first headliner of the 2016 Splendour festival at Wollaton Park.
The festival, taking place on Saturday, July 23, managed to book the best-selling debut artist of 2015 with her number one album I Cry When I Laugh, featuring five number one singles.
Glynne was due to perform at last year’s festival but was unable to perform because she had to undergo vocal cord surgery.
It’s great news for the fans
DHP Family are responsible for the festival and company owner George Akins said: “With her UK tour completely sold out already, it’s good news for the fans who were disappointed last year after she was forced to pull out.
“Those who got to see her play a very well-received show sell out show at Rock City last November will be delighted to see her return to the city once again.”

Glynne is the first solo female artist to headline Splendour since Kate Nash took to the stage in the first year of the festival in 2008.
The 26-year-old has already equalled the record for the most number one singles by a British solo artist with five and has announced a new single, Ain’t Got Far To Go, due for release on February 26.
There is such a diverse range of popular acts
Nottingham City Council Portfolio holder for sport and leisure Councillor Dave Trimble said: “We are so proud to be working with the DHP family to bring this great family festival to the city.
“A day out at Splendour is good because it gives attendees a chance to see such a diverse range of popular acts.”
20,000 people attended the event last year to see sets from The Specials, James, Bananarama and Lawson.
