A 20-year-old man has pleaded guilty to two offences of engaging in sexual activity with a 13-year-old girl.
Daniel Cooper, of Birch Street in Church Warsop, committed the offences on the girl on August 31 2016.
Nottingham Crown Court heard that Cooper, who was 19 at the time, was fully aware she was under the age of legal sexual consent.
Detective Constable Stuart Barson, who led the investigation, said: “Cooper took advantage of a vulnerable young girl.
“She has shown extreme bravery to report the incident to the police.
“As a result, Cooper has now had to admit his criminal and depraved actions.”
Cooper was due to stand trial for the offences but pleaded guilty on Tuesday (December 5).
He was bailed to appear at the same court on January 26 2018 for sentencing and was ordered to sign the Sex Offenders’ Register with immediate effect.
