A 57-year-old man has been injured after crashing his helicopter in Calverton, Nottinghamshire.
Fire crews and police were called to Salterford Lane at around 5pm on Thursday (October 26) evening.
A spokesperson from Notts Fire and Rescue said: “Crews from Arnold, Blidworth and Newark were called at 5.11pm where a helicopter had crashed in a field.
“Two casualties had been released before the arrival of firefighters, who assisted East Midlands Ambulance Service at the scene.
“Crews had left the scene by 5.34pm.”
A spokesperson for Notts Police said: “Officers were called at around 5pm to reports of a crash involving a helicopter.
“The helicopter had come down in a field in Salterford Lane, Calverton.
“A 57-year-old man was taken to hospital with injuries which are not believed to be serious.
“The incident has been referred to the Air Accident Investigation Branch.”
