Man and woman found dead at Bingham house

The bodies of two people have been found by police called to a house in Bingham.

The 57-year-old man and 39-year-old woman were discovered following an incident in Porchester Road, Bingham, on Wednesday afternoon (November 13).

Police have cordoned off the home and are investigating. Officers are not looking for anyone else in connection with the deaths.

Detective Chief Inspector Rob Routledge, who is leading the investigation for Notts Police, said post-mortem examinations are taking place today (Thursday) to try to determine the exact causes of death.

He said: “Following our initial investigations we now believe this is an isolated incident and at this time we are not looking for anyone else in connection with the deaths.

“Our investigation will continue to establish the full circumstances surrounding the deaths. Our thoughts at this time are very much with the loved ones of those who have died and we are liaising with family to offer them support.

“Formal identification has not yet taken place. A cordon remains in place at the address while we continue with our enquiries and we will continue to have a police presence in the local area.

“We are aware that Bingham is a small community and this incident will have an impact on its residents. We would advise anyone who wishes to raise any issues to please speak to one of our officers in the area.”
