Man appears at crown court charged with murder of Reuben Morris-Laing

A 29-year-old man had been remanded in custody after appearing at Nottingham Crown Court charged with the murder of Reuben Morris-Laing.

Remee Jarrett, of Kelvedon Gardens, St Ann’s, will next appear at the same court on May 5.

Mr Jarrett was also charged with attempted grievous bodily harm with intent on another man involved in the same incident and possession of an offensive weapon.

Police were called to the Premier Express store, in Robin Hood Street, St Ann’s, just before 9.30pm last Wednesday (March 22).

Mr Morris-Laing, 21, who was also from St Ann’s, was found outside with knife injuries and was taken to the Queen’s Medical Centre but later died.
