Man arrested on suspicion of assault on Victoria Embankment

A 31-year-old has been arrested on suspicion of assault following reports of an incident on Victoria Embankment.

A 31-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of assault.

The arrest follows a report that a man was assaulted in the Victoria Embankment area of the Meadows in Nottingham.

The 46-year-old victim has suffered injuries as a result of the assault but has since been released from hospital.

The 31-year-old remains in police custody.
