Man arrested on suspicion of murder of Newark woman

A man has been arrested on suspicion of murder following the death of a woman in Newark.

Officers were called to an address in Mill Gate at around 5.10pm on Wednesday (August 16).

Police attempted to save the woman but she was pronounced dead at the scene.
