A man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted rape following an incident in the Arboretum area of Nottingham.
Notts Police said a 22-year-old woman was walking home from work in the early hours of Saturday morning (July 8) when she was assaulted at the Waverley Street junction with Raleigh Street.
The force added the woman fought off the man and ran away.
A spokesman said the 25-year-old man remains in police custody, adding: “Officers would like to thank everyone who has been in touch with information so far.”
