Man charged in connection with burglary murder investigation

A man has been charged as detectives continue to investigate the death of a man at the scene of a burglary.
Police were called to an industrial unit at Lodge Lane, Tuxford, shortly after 10:40m on Tuesday, February 25, following a report of an aggravated burglary.
Twenty-two-year old Taylor Green was found unresponsive outside and was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics.
Mason Meanwell, 24, of Byron Close, Newark, has now been charged with aggravated burglary, and is due to appear at Nottingham Magistrates’ Court today (Wednesday March 5).
Two men, aged 26 and 43, have also been arrested on suspicion of aggravated burglary, and two women, aged 23 and 24, have been arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender.
A 24-year-old man arrested on Tuesday February 25 on suspicion of Mr Green’s murder was released later on conditional police bail.
Another woman, aged 21, was previously released without charge.
Following the launch of the investigation, DI Clare Gibson of Nottinghamshire Police said: ““Our thoughts remain with Mr Green’s loved ones during what must be an incredibly difficult time for them.
“An investigation has been launched to establish the circumstances surrounding his death.
“I’d like to reassure the public that we believe this to be an isolated incident and there will be an increased police presence in the area while we continue with our lines of inquiry.”
Insp Rob Harrison, district commander for Bassetlaw, said: “This is a tragic incident and we are appealing to anyone who may have information about this incident to get in touch with us as soon as possible.
“Any information you have, no matter how insignificant you think it may be, could play a role in helping us understand what has happened.”
Police say Mr Green’s family are being supported by specially trained officers after being informed of his death.
