Police are appealing for information after a man walking a dog was punched in the head and robbed by two men on motorbikes in Nottingham.

Officers say the 22-year-old was knocked to the floor with one punch to the head before being repeatedly hit in the face.

The man let go of the Yorkshire terrier’s lead, and the dog – which he was walking for his grandma – was run over, injuring its leg, by the second man who was circling on his motorbike.

They stole two 18 carat gold bangles (bracelets) and a wallet before riding off.

It happened in an alleyway off Northdown Road, Radford, at 8.45pm on Monday (July 24).

Anyone who witnessed the assault, or has been offered gold bangles for sale, is asked to call Notts Police on 101, quoting incident number 926 of July 24.

Crimestoppers can be called anonymously on 0800 555 111.
