Nottingham will be flooded with Japanese comic book fans this weekend as the city hosts its first manga convention.
Manga is a style of Japanese comic books and art that appeal to a wide audience around the world.
Described as one of the UK’s largest Japanese comics convention, Amecon’s Amechibi event will begin on April 10 and end on April 12, with hundreds expected to attend.
The event will feature a fashion show and masquerade, as well as a costume competition. Each attendee will receive a free goodie bag containing a commemorative book.
Registrations close today (Friday) at 2pm in the Britannia Hotel’s Albany suite.
