Masked men with axe break into Nottinghamshire home, police say

Police have released pictures of the three men.

Nottinghamshire residents fled their home in fear as three men smashed their way into the property with an axe.

Notts Police say one man carried the axe while another wore a Scream-style mask during the aggravated burglary last month.

Officers say the residents “ran out of the door while the men smashed through a window at the back and climbed outside”.

A spokesman said: “Nothing was taken in the break-in, off Arnold Lane, Gedling, at around 12.40pm on Thursday, June 8.”

Police are searching for the men and have released images of them.

The men’s faces are covered, but anyone who may recognise their clothing and bodies is asked to call 101, quoting incident 327 of June 8.

Crimestoppers can be called anonymously on 0800 555 111.
