Twelve drug arrests have been made in Mansfield town centre over the last five weeks.
Police have been patrolling the town centre with sniffer dogs and specialist equipment over weekends and evenings.
Drug testing was done on people going into venues in the town.
Swabs were used on people’s palms to detect illegal substances.
The drugs that have been seized include MDMA, cocaine, amphetamine and cannabis.
Temporary Police Sergeant Colin Kirkup said: ‘People who use drugs are dicing with their own safety and well being and, whether they know it or not, they are supporting violence, organised crime and exploitation by buying and using the drug.’
