A toilet seat was one of the first items bought by a Nottingham family that have won £1m in the lottery.
The Brown family from Eastwood were the lucky winners of one of the gold prizes put on in the Lotto Medal Draw.
The draw was put up in honour of Team GB’s performance at the Olympics alongside the usual lotteries, with 67 additional prizes on offer including 27 gold ones.
David and Yvonne Brown with their daughters Becky and Julie put money into a syndicate each week to buy a lottery ticket and will be splitting the winnings equally.
Julie lives with David and Yvonne and the toilet seat was bought by Becky for her own home.
Winning the £1m has not yet sunk in for the Browns yet.
We are just a normal family
Yvonne said: “This doesn’t happen to people like us, we are just a normal family.
“We’re currently planning on what to do with the money but it won’t change us; we will enjoy it with our close family and friends.
“However David has mentioned, very briefly, about an Aston Martin Vantage.”

David revealed the moment he won and could not believe that the Browns had a winning ticket.
He said: “I had forgotten to check the ticket on Sunday (August 28) night and I was watching the TV.
“I scanned it using my app and it made a funny noise so I turned my tablet on and off and tried again; I did this about three times.
“We had called Rebecca and she came around in her pyjamas and we had to check with the newsagents down our road because it was so late; the National Lottery hotline has shut!”
The Browns’ ‘fantasy’ was then realised.
Daviud said: “They confirmed that we had the winning ticket too.
“We then went home and locked the ticket in the bedside drawer.
“The checking didn’t stop there though; I also went back to the Asda where we bought the ticket to ask them to check it too!”
David and Yvonne bought the winning ticket from Asda on Westley Street in Langley Mill during their weekly ‘big’ shop.
