Nottingham Forest draw against Bolton at the weekend

Nottingham Forest defender Michael Mancienne says he and his team-mates ‘put everything in’ to yesterday’s match at Bolton.

The Reds were denied a win when Stephen Dobbie levelled the scores in second-half injury time.

While Mancienne was ‘gutted’ to miss out on the victory, he praised the efforts of his team mates.

The defender said: “We were devastated to concede so late in the game. Everyone worked so hard and put everything in.”

“People tried and that’s what made the game so open. We played some really good stuff- we just had to grind it out in those last two minutes.”

“Vaughamy, who’s been brilliant in the last few games, came on and scored a worldie goal and Dorus made a great save from penalty. I’m just gutted to concede so late.”

Mancienne was utilised in a defensive midfield role yesterday after impressing at left back in previous matches.

He said: “I’m just happy to be playing, no matter where the manager puts me. It’s a big advantage for me to be versatile – I know I can play in more than one position and I think that helps the team out a lot.”
