Nottingham grassroots football teams get £10k boost

A local company is offering Nottinghamshire football teams a slice of £10,000 to buy equipment, refurbish clubhouses or improve facilities for their club.

On-call Recruitment Ltd is celebrating its tenth anniversary by giving away the money to local football clubs for nothing.

The company is asking parents, coaches and players to nominate their club, with the reason they need the money, for an chance to cash in.

Managing Director, Adrian Rawden, said: “It’s been a big year for Nottingham with it being named the first ever City Of Football in the UK, so I thought it would be nice for On-call to do – it’s partly to help build a legacy for clubs desperately in need of financial support.

“Ultimately our bigger clubs haven’t delivered this season so it’s important for us to make sure the next generation of local talent do not lose interest in the beautiful game.”

The company has previously sponsored Notts County’s youth teams and currently sponsors Arnold Town Ladies.
