Nottinghamshire man, 54, charged with attempted murder

A 54-year-old man has been charged with attempted murder after a 50-year-old woman was stabbed in Newark on Monday (October 9).

John Roger Harvey of Bramble Close, Bilsthorpe, appeared at Nottingham Magistrates Court today (Thursday October 12).

He is due to appear at Nottingham Crown Court on Thursday November 9.

The woman remains in a serious but stable condition in hospital.
