A 72-year-old Nottingham man who died in a fatal crash in Cornwall has been named by police.
Devon and Cornwall Police named the man Michael Ryan from Nottingham who died after a serious collision on the A38 at Glynn Valley on Bank Holiday Monday (May 28).
Emergency services were called to the scene at around 11.15am to reports a Land Rover and a Volvo flatbed had collided on the A38 at Newbridge Cross near Bodmin.
The driver of the Land Rover, Mr Ryan, died as a result of the collision and was pronounced dead at the scene.
His next of kin were informed and formal identification took place.
A female passenger of the Land Rover was airlifted to Derriford Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
A full investigation of the scene was completed and enquiries are continuing to determine the case of the collision.
