Footage of Nottingham city centre in the 1970’s and 80’s has seen a resurgence on social media after being shared around on Facebook.

In the video from 1972, a busy Old Market Square can be seen and the newly built Victoria Centre.

The Robin Hood statue in the castle area and South Sherwood St with Arkwright and Newton are also visible in the footage.

Footage from Christmas time in Nottingham in the mid-Eighties shows a thriving Broadmarsh shopping centre and a Christmas market in Old Market Square.
