Nottingham patients warned of GP closures over Easter

The NHS in Nottingham is warning people to get their medication in time for Easter because most GP surgeries are expected to close on Good Friday (April 3) and Easter Monday (April 6).

People are also reminded that if they need help they can go to NHS walk in centres for minor issues, which are open from 8am to 8pm. or call the 111 hotline which is available 24 hours, 7 days a week.

The 111 number can also be used as an out of hours service contact number for GPs and patients can get advice from pharmacists.

The London Road walk-in centre is open from 7am to 9pm every day and the centre in Upper Parliament Street is open from 8am to 8pm.

People  are asked to only use the 999 hotline or visit the Emergency Department for serious issues, such as broken bones and heavy bleeding.

For more information, please contact the Nottingham City NHS at 0115 845 4545 or visit their website at http://www.nottinghamcity.nhs.uk/.
