A pub in Sneinton has lost its alcohol licence after police said there had been too many violent incidents and lock-ins.

A special licencing panel sat today (Tuesday July 26) at Nottingham City Council and found that the Queen Adelaide should have its alcohol licence removed.

A report was submitted by Notts Police recording concerns about the pub breaching its terms of licence too often.

The pub will close if it doesn’t lodge an appeal within 21 days.

This comes after Secretary of Nottingham CAMRA Andrew Ludlow said before the result that “we can’t afford to lose that many more pubs in the city of Nottingham.”

A total of 129 people signed a petition against the pub losing its licence.

Notts TV News was unable to immediately reach the pub’s management for a response.
