Nottingham Rugby fighting to get back on track after ‘devastating’ flooding of pitch and marquee clubhouse

Nottingham Rugby say they were left devastated after seeing their ground and clubhouse completely submerged by flood water after Storm Henk.

The Green and Whites, who play in the Championship, were left with nowhere to train and without their marquee, where the community gets together and show support for the club.

Now, with the help of neighbouring sport clubs and volunteers, the club is hoping to get back on track.

Due to being on a floodplain at Lady Bay in Nottingham, the club’s insurance will not cover the cost of fixing the damage, meaning a financial appeal has been launched.

Friday’s (January 12) game against London Scottish has been postponed.
