Nottingham’s next generation of film, music and TV talent to appear at Confetti showcase

Confetti's courses teach gaming, film and TV skills.

Talented Nottingham students in music, TV, film, visual effects, events and gaming will display their work in a public showcase next week.

Students of Confetti Institute of Creative Technologies will run the open exhibition at the organisation’s dedicated TV and Film centre, Space2, on Dakeyne Street in Sneinton.

“Degree Showcase is definitely the highlight of the year for both students and tutors,” said Confetti Media Group Chief Executive, Craig Chettle.

“Students take great pride in exhibiting their work, and tutors are thrilled to see the culmination of their learning and development. For students it’s a great opportunity to meet their potential future employers.”

Dr Alexandra Turcan, games lab manager at Deep Silver Dambuster, one of the region’s largest games developers comments: “We are very excited to attend the Confetti Degree Showcase – it’s a great opportunity for us to meet the next generation of game designers and game artists and get to talk to them about their final year projects.”

The degree showcase will present a mix of short films, games concepts and designs, 3D models, audio compositions, as well as live music performances.

It will end with an awards ceremony, where the Confetti Student of the Year will be revealed.

The Degree Showcase is open to the public from 10am until 5pm on Thursday, June 8 2017.

Work of Confetti’s graduates is also on display at the National Videogame Arcade and in the Victoria Centre and Broadmarsh Bus Station tunnels.
