Nottinghamshire County Cricket Club announces profits for 2014

NCCC Chairman Peter Wright has announced a £279,160 pre-tax profit for the year up to 30 September 2014.

Hosting India in a sold-out international test series as well as strong domestic attendances have both contributed to the success.

In the opening fixture of the Natwest T20 Blast over 10,000 people attended whilst 60,000 passed through the Trent Bridge turnstiles during the group stages.

Peter Wright said: “2014 has been a great year for us, allowing us to continue to combine our on-field successes with sustained profitability and develop ties with the local community”

Hard Work

“To have hosted four days of sold-out international cricket is testament to the continued hard work done by every member of staff.”

Trent Bridge have also been awarded a series of major matches in the coming years including more test fixtures as well as prestigious fixtures in the ICC Cricket World Cup in 2019.

“To have Test matches against prestigious opposition in India and South Africa, as well as the World cup matches in 2019, is befitting of a ground of our status, and a perfect reward for the work done to help us reach this point.”

He added: “In line with these matches we will continue to explore further enhancing Trent Bridge to ensure that our excellent ground continues to compete with other Test Match venues while maintaining the best possible experience for players and spectators.”
