Notts County’s new players seem to be ready for the new season, according to striker Jon Stead.
The former Sunderland attacker, Jon Stead joined Notts County from Huddersfield Town over the summer, and is one of eighteen new faces at Meadow Lane ahead of their League 2 opener.
“It’s been a busy pre-season, lots of new faces and new players at the club, me being one of them. It’s about us getting to know each other as quicky as possible.”
“We’ve done that through long training sessions and being in most days and getting ourselves ready for the new season.”

Notts County begin their new season away at Stevenage on Saturday who have a new face in manager Teddy Sheringham.
The Stevenage players will be keen to impress Sheringham but Stead believes that County will be strong enough to come home with the 3 points.
“I’m confident. We’ve had a couple of disappointing results in pre-season but performance wise, the progression has been good so I have no worries going into Saturday.”

“They are going to be a high tempo team, their manager is going to want to see that football style. It could end up being quite an open game”
