Police are appealing for witnesses to come forward who may have information regarding the victim of a hit of run that took place last night.
The incident occurred on the Mansfield road at around 11 pm near Fade and the Hard to find Café.
The man, who appeared to have sustained facial injuries, went into the café to use the washroom facilities but left the scene shortly after.
Police are eager to establish that the man is safe and well and would like to talk to him about the incident.
According to witnesses the man was of mixed race, aged in his mid 20s, and was wearing a red Manchester United football shirt and jeans.
Anyone who witnessed the incident and has not yet spoken to police is also urged to make contact via 101.
