Notts set for tropical storm Henri next week

A tropical storm from the United States is heading towards Britain and could hit Nottinghamshire next week.

Tropical Storm Henri, is set to batter Britain with 70mph winds and heavy rain as the storm is set to change it’s path and head away from the United States.

It is unclear whether Nottinghamshire will feel the brunt of this storm, but weather forecasts expect up to 90% of rain to fall in the city on Monday next week, with heavy rains expected to last throughout the week until Friday.

Temperatures will remain moderate with an average of 18° highs but could dip as low as 10°.

The storm has recently hit parts of the Caribbean, but will most likely be downgraded to an ex-tropical storm as it moves across the Atlantic.
