Notts Outlaws top T20 group without ball bowled at Leicestershire

Notts Outlaws moved top of the Natwest T20 Blast north group after their match at Leicestershire was abandoned without a ball bowled.

The Outlaws earned one point from the ‘no result’ which is enough to take them above the Northamptonshire Steelbacks on net run rate.

The Steelbacks however have a game in hand over the new table toppers.

  7. Lancashire Rapids P10 W4 L5 Pts9

Rain lashed down throughout the day at the Fischer County Ground which got worse as the start time of 6.30pm approached.

The umpires delayed the start of the match with a view to play a shortened game before eventually calling it off shortly before 8pm.

Both teams benefited from the point gained of a ‘no result’ with the Outlaws going top and Leicestershire moving off the foot of the table.
