Part of the M1 has been reopened after a truck involved in a collision shed its load causing travel disruption through Nottinghamshire.
Highways England Tweeted just before 8.30am this morning (Friday May 11) to say traffic was ‘temporarily stopped’ between junctions 23A and 24 on the northbound route.
Just before 9am, Highways England Tweeted to say the road was now closed while emergency services dealt with the collision.

A crane and clear-up crews are on the scene clearing the vehicles and debris from the collision with drivers urged to follow the solid square diversion route symbol.
A lorry has broken down on the #A453 northbound blocking 1 lane. This is the diversion route for the #M1 northbound between J23A and J24 closure. We have sent a recovery crew out to get it cleared as soon as possible.

Highways England Tweeted just before 12.40pm this afternoon to say the road has now fully reopened.
