University Boulevard will be closed to traffic heading into the city (eastbound) due to resurfacing work taking place over the weekend.
The work starts tonight at 8pm and continues through the weekend until around 5am on Monday (August 8).
Diversions will be in place via the A52 Derby Road.
The road will also be shut to traffic heading out of the city towards Beeston (westbound) overnight on Friday and Saturday from 8pm until 7am the next morning.
It will also be shut in that direction on Sunday from 8pm until 5am on Monday morning.
Some bus routes may be affected by the work with travellers urged to check with timetables and changes with their local transport providers.
People attending the Riverside festival or Nottingham Forest’s game against Burton Albion are urged to allow more time for their journey.
Access to the Hockey Club, Tennis Centre and Nottingham Science Park will still be possible but access to the University of Nottingham, including the Lakeside Arts Centre and Highfields Park, will not be possible from the road.
Visitors to the Lakeside Arts Centre and Highfields are advised to do so by entering the University Park campus via the north and west entrances.
Trams will run as normal.
