Passengers miss flights after trouble with security at East Midlands Airport

39 East Midlands Airport passengers missed their flights this morning following complications at security.

Due to a number of unforeseen circumstances, such as staff sickness and equipment breakdown, some passengers were rebooked onto alternative flights.

An East Midlands Airport spokesperson said: “East Midlands airport covered the cost of travel for those passengers who were re-booked and we would like to apologise for the inconvenience that passengers experienced.”
