Pedestrian seriously injured after being hit by cyclist in Sutton-in-Ashfield

A man was taken to hospital with serious injuries after a collision between a cyclist and a pedestrian.

The 61-year-old pedestrian was taken to the Queen’s Medical Centre after the incident on Station Road, Sutton-in-Ashfield at about 5.45 am yesterday (Thursday 2 March).

The male cyclist was taken to King’s Mill Hospital with minor injuries.

Station Road was closed while investigations were carried out. It later reopened at around 9am.

The road runs parallel to The Broad Centre Retail Park.
